Financial Counselling (Consumer Debt)

Our Financial Counsellors will work with you to assess your financial position and help you decide on your best course of action to address uncertainties.

To address a problem with over-indebtedness due to unsecured debts, our counsellors will assess your personal budget based on your income and the standard expenses you require to maintain yourself and your family.

We are here to work with you to help you decide on the most feasible debt settlement options. We are not able to provide you with specific and relevant advice when we are not able to first establish a comprehensive understanding of your financial situation. Having your explicit consent and cooperation in providing personal and relevant financial information for discussion is essential to facilitate the best possible outcome during the session.

Focus of Financial Counselling : Debt Advising

During a financial counselling session, the focus is on facilitating debt advising and exploring feasible suitable debt settlement options for your consideration.

Our goal is to help you better understand your financial position -  your cash flow, sources of income, household expenses -  in order to identify a range of possible solution that you may consider to manage and pay down your debts.

A session normally last up to one hour, but may take longer depending on the complexity of your circumstances. In most cases, having one session will be sufficient. However, you may request to see our financial counsellors again, if necessary.
