Campaign 2026/27
Donations and Sponsorships
“Give a person a fish, and you feed them for a day. Teach a person to fish, and you feed them for a lifetime.”
Credit Counselling Singapore (CCS) is a registered charity established in 2004 that supports individuals and families in debt distress through counselling, education and, where suitable, structured repayment arrangements — so they can move forward with dignity.
When Debt Feels Heavy, Hope Shouldn’t Be Out of Reach.
Debt distress is never “just money”. It can mean sleepless nights, strained relationships, constant worry — and the quiet fear of “what happens next?”
Many people delay seeking help because they feel ashamed, overwhelmed, or believe their situation is beyond fixing. The longer they wait, the fewer options they may feel they have — and the heavier it becomes to take the first step.
A fresh start becomes possible when someone receives objective guidance early — to understand their situation clearly, explore feasible options, and take practical next steps.
CCS keeps help accessible through free public information talks, credit counselling, and the facilitation of low-cost, structured repayment arrangements where appropriate. We also provide education and ongoing support that build financial capability and strengthen long-term resilience—so families are equipped not only to recover, but to move forward financially stable.
Your support funds the bridge that makes early help possible:
- Keeping credit counselling free and accessible.
- Sustaining free, public education on responsible credit use and debt management.
- Strengthening ongoing support for those on their debt repayment journey so progress can be maintained.
With your help, individuals and families can move from crisis to stability — and emerge with greater confidence, capability, and resilience
What Your Donation Supports
CCS conducts weekly outreach talks on addressing problem debt, offers free credit counselling, and runs financial literacy programmes that build stronger credit and debt management skills for the long term.
CCS core programmes and services include:
1. Free credit counselling for individuals facing debt concerns.
2. Financial counselling to support practical, sustainable money decisions.
3. Facilitated debt repayment arrangements where appropriate, to support manageable repayments.
4. Public financial education talks that promote responsible credit use, effective debt management, and informed financial decision-making.
5. Ongoing support for programme clients to build financial capability and family resilience — through meaningful opportunities for engagement, learning, and social support.
Our work—grounded in empathetic guidance and responsible borrowing—has earned the trust and endorsement of The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS), as well as the support of the Credit Association of Singapore (CAS), which represents licensed moneylenders.
We’re piloting new ways to walk alongside lower-income families through our Financial Capability Building and Support (FCBS) programme, paired with debt relief—helping families break free from debt, build practical money skills, and move toward a more stable future.
