Credit Counselling Singapore (CCS) conducts financial education talks and workshops to empower individuals to gain financial literacy and be financially resilient. 

Our programmes aim to strengthen financial resilience through:

1.   Imparting financial knowledge.

2.   Developing money management skills.

3.   Encouraging better credit and debt management skills.

Information Talks on Debt Management

FREE weekly online webinars on Debt Management to provide reliable information on the various options one can consider to address an unsecured consumer (personal) debt problem or business loan servicing difficulties.

 

Consumer Debt Management [1.5 hours webinar + Q&A]

When?
Conducted in English, on a weekly basis, alternating between weekday evenings and Saturday afternoons.

Also conducted in Mandarin, on a monthly basis on a weekday evening.

 

Business Debt Management [1.5 hours webinar + Q&A]

When?
Conducted in English, on a monthly basis on a weekday evening.

 

Who should attend?
1.   Anyone who is interested to find out how CCS assist those in debt-distress.
2.   If you have been asked by your creditor to approach CCS for assistance.

Educational Talks to Improve Credit and Money Management Skills

Responsible Use of Credit [1.5 hours webinar + Q&A]

• Learn the importance of using credit responsibly and borrowing wisely to avoid getting into a debt spiral.

• Includes a presentation by Credit Bureau Singapore (CBS) on understanding your Credit Report.

 

Managing My Finances in Crisis [1.5 hours webinar + Q&A]

• Learn what you should do when facing a financial crisis.

• Learn how to establish an emergency budget and build up an emergency fund.

• Know where to seek help for financial and debt issues.

Cents-ible Retirement Programme (CRP)

Managing My Finances in Retirement [1.5 hours webinar + Q&A]

Educational Workshops to Improve Money Management Skills

Money Matters! (3 hours workshop)

Money Matters! for Working Adults is a 3-hour workshop to help participants adopt positive money habits in managing “everyday” money and gain basic financial knowledge on budgeting, savings, borrowing, protection with insurance and investing.

Managing My Money During a Work Transition (3 hours workshop)

Managing My Money During a Work Transition is 3-hour workshop to help participants adjust financially to a recent career or job transition. The workshop will provide basic financial literacy knowledge and enable participants review their personal or household finances, adjust their savings and spending due to a change in employment income, manage liabilities and address a debt issue.

 

When?
Upon request. Minimum 20 participants.

MOVE! Towards Financial Wellness (6 hours workshop)

MOVE! Towards Financial Wellness is a series of three fun-filled educational workshops (each 2 hours in duration) about making the moves towards improving financial resilience.

This programme aims to help participants adopt positive money habits in managing everyday money and acquire basic financial knowledge to make informed decisions about savings, spending, borrowing, and paying down debts and arrears.

Upon request. Minimum 12 participants.

Who should attend?
Beneficiaries of social organisations, SSAs and FSCs.
