Help Restore Financial Dignity and Hope

Behind Every Number, There Are Real Faces

Is owing $60,000 too much? Is repaying it over 8 years too long? For most borrowers on our Debt Management Programme, this is the median amount owed and the typical repayment tenure. But the amount someone owes and the time it takes to repay depend on their unique circumstances. However, the impact of problem debt tends to be similar in many ways.

When someone falls into debt, it is not a sign of moral failing — it is often the result of life’s harsh twists, coupled with limited financial resources and, at times, mismanagement of what we already have. For many in Singapore’s lower income households, this burden is heavier, and the path out is not as simple.

At CCS, we see the person behind the numbers. The person owing the debt could be a father, a mother, a son, or a daughter. We believe that with a helping hand and the right guidance, anyone can rise above financial distress and regain a sense of control — rather than simply being told they should have done better.

Why Your Support Matters

Debt doesn’t only crush finances. It affects self‑worth, relationships, family stability and community wellbeing. When one person is overwhelmed, the ripple touches many.

Many borrowers lack emergency savings or don’t know how to access objective financial solutions. Small changes, through education, counselling, and a structured repayment plan, can make a big difference.

Since 2004, CCS has helped over 41,000 individuals regain stability and dignity. Your donation enables us to provide free debt management talks, credit counselling, and affordable debt management programmes – providing peace of mind and strengthening long-term financial resilience.

What We Do

When someone turns to us:

1.   We provide clear, unbiased information on how to address their debt situation.

2.   We offer non-judgemental credit counselling and an empathetic listening ear.

3.   We help them create a realistic budget, understand their financial situation, and explore feasible solutions.

4.   We assist in developing a structured repayment plan, empowering them to move from surviving to thriving, provided they have the financial means and willingness to commit.

5.   We conduct informative talks and workshops to build financial capability, with a focus on lower‑income families facing multiple challenges.

Let’s Put the Smile Back On!

Every gift helps make a real difference. Whether it’s a one‑off or monthly donation, your support means:

1.   More people can access credit counselling easily, instead of waiting in financial limbo.

2.   Additional resources for CCS to run financial capability programmes that build long‑term financial resilience.

3.   Greater stability for families, peace of mind and hope for a stronger financial future.

Your support could be the difference between someone being trapped by debt or finally taking a step towards breaking free from its shackles.

Please donate now to help someone restore their financial well-being and dignity, putting the smile back of their face.
